Set in the heart of Northumberland in the village of Powburn, Cheviot View is a splendid Bed and Breakfast offering high quality four star accommodation.
The rural village of Powburn lies in a peaceful location, close to the River Breamish and near to the foot of the Cheviot Hills and the Northumberland National Park. Yet it is just ten minutes from the historic market town of Alnwick, famous for The Alnwick Garden and its castle which Harry Potter fans may recognise as Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft & Wizardry.
The village has a pub, which serves hearty meals in the evening, a convenience store (with an ATM!), a filling station and an ever expanding Antiques and Crafts centre.
Being centrally located Cheviot View is ideal for exploring Northumberland's many attractions. The National Park and Cheviot Hills are barely five minutes away, Alnwick, Cragside and Chillingham, barely 10, and a journey of 45 minutes or less is all it requires to reach destinations including Holy Island, Bamburgh, The Farnes and Wallington Hall. For Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Forest and the Borders allow an hour and enjoy the spectacular scenery en route.
Our accommodation is arranged around three twin bedded rooms, although single occupancy is offered. We also have the facility to convert some of the rooms to provide family accommodation.
